It’s Called Service, Not Psychic: Planning to Give and Receive the Service You Need
When: Friday November 16, 2018, from 7 to 8:30 pm
Where: Bare Bones Cafe, 2908 SE Belmont St, Portland
Join Bad Girls for a facilitated discussion on giving and receiving service. We’ll touch on broad categories of types of service and work on unpacking why some of these are often considered “just” for one side of a power dynamic.
Can tops and Dominants thrive on giving service, without sacrificing power? Yes. Can bottoms and submissive folks be the recipients of service without losing a sense of identity? Absolutely. Let’s come together to discuss proactive planning for service that serves us, rather than reactive service which may miss the mark.
This discussion led by Miss Shiny will draw on the work of Lee Harrington; for more on Lee, visit passionandsoul.com.

We’ll pass the hat ($1-3 suggested donation) and purchases support our venue but are not required.

Accessibility: If you are able to step on or over a 1″ high “lip” in the ground, you can enter through Bare Bones Bar’s side door on 29th St and travel completely on the flat (although with somewhat narrow doors) over to the cafe. If you are on wheels, the venue has a rather steep ramp (covers two steps up) that we will get in place for you.
Smoke break: There are chairs for smoking directly out front.
There will be a pansexual social after the discussion group for anyone who would like to gather and chat at Bare Bones Bar next door.
