Third Friday Discussion: Planning for Your Most Awesome (and Intentional) Event Season
April 19 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm$1 – $3
When: Friday April 19th from 7 to 8:30 pm
Where: Bare Bones Cafe, 2908 SE Belmont St, Portland
Kinkfest is this weekend, spring event season is here. How are you gearing up? Budgeting for new toys? Budgeting for exhaustion and drop? Let’s talk strategy!
Events allow us to engage in community on a larger scale, whether a few hours of a play party or a weekend convention. How do we plan for this? What resources do we bring to bear and what do we seek? Whether planning public scenes with a partner or cruising for pickup play, how do we set ourselves up for success? How do we plan for the end of the fun times and a return to every day?
Coffee • Loose Leaf Tea • Vegan and Gluten Free Menu Items • Free Wifi • Freshly Made Pastries • Salads • Sandwiches
We’ll pass the hat ($1-3 suggested donation) and purchases support our venue but are not required.
Self-identified women 18+ are invited! (You decide whether we’re the group for you; more information on our front page.)
Accessibility: If you are able to step on or over a 1″ high “lip” in the ground, you can enter through Bare Bones Bar’s side door on 29th St and travel completely on the flat (although with somewhat narrow doors) over to the cafe. If you are on wheels, the venue has a rather steep ramp (covers two steps up) that we will get in place for you.
Smoke break: There are chairs for smoking directly out front.
There will be a pansexual social after the discussion group for anyone who would like to gather and chat at Bare Bones Bar next door.
