When: Friday June 9th, 2017, from 7 to 8:30 pm
Where: Bare Bones Cafe, 2908 SE Belmont St, Portland
In June (graduation month!) we’ll discuss the topic of educating ourselves in regard to BDSM and kink. Why are we motivated to learn? What kinds of education work for us, and what kinds don’t?
To focus the discussion, we may each tell a story of a good learning experience from our past, and see what the stories have in common. Or we may have a volunteer offer to teach a brief lesson (that can be done at a table without equipment) and try to put our preferred techniques into action.
Coffee • Loose Leaf Tea • Vegan and Gluten Free Menu Items • Free Wifi • Freshly Made Pastries • Salads • Sandwiches
We’ll pass the hat ($1-3 suggested donation) and purchases support our venue but are not required.
Accessibility: If you are able to step on or over a 1″ high “lip” in the ground, you can enter through Bare Bones Bar’s side door on 29th St and travel completely on the flat (although with somewhat narrow doors) over to the cafe. If you are on wheels, the venue has a rather steep ramp (covers two steps up in half the sidewalk) and Bad Girls will be constructing its own more shallow ramp so everyone can get in.
ASL interpretation: If you advise us two weeks in advance, we will do our best to have a kink-friendly ASL interpreter join us for the evening.
Smoke break: There are chairs for smoking directly out front.
There will be a pansexual social after the discussion group for anyone who would like to gather and chat at Bare Bones Bar next door.
